I've been looking forward to this pick by The Nitty Britty for a whole month!
Once it came out of the oven, I couldn't wait anymore and I dumped the cake out too early.
It wasn't cool enough. It came out looking like Jekyll and Hyde - one side smooth and brown, the other a hot mess!
But it all tasted oh so good!
This is the perfect way to begin a Thanksgiving week.

With a little icing and nuts, nobody will be the wiser. Or you could just slice it in the kitchen. :-) Happy Thanksgiving.
It still looks good even if one side messed up a little! Im glad you liked it! I thought it was tasty!
Three words - cream cheese icing. It hides every flaw.
Glad you enjoyed the cake!
Beautiful anyway! I actually made this three weeks ago and did a rewind this week (can't do the Chestnut Cake right now). However, the first time I made this cake it stuck in my pan too. I bought a new pan and made it again last night, perfection!
I held my breath when I unmolded my cake - fortunately it all came out in one piece. I'm glad to hear it tastes good, I haven't tried mine yet.
I love both sides! Looks fabulous!
It doesn't look bad! It definitely was a tasty cake!
